NovaVision, Inc. Recognized by US Chamber of Commerce

100 small businesses were recently recognized at a ceremony in Washington D.C. for their success and contributions to America’s economic growth and vitality as well as their community involvement and contributions made by the company and their employees. Among the companies recognized was NovaVision, Inc. from right here in the Toledo Region. The award is given as part of the US Chamber of Commerce’s annual DREAM BIG Small Business Awards ® and winners were selected from a record number of applicants from communities across the nation.

NovaVision, Inc. located in Bowling Green, Ohio has been a member of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years. Their specialty is combatting counterfeiting and tampering through the design and production of hologram labels, tamper evident stickers, security tape, and mechanical security seals. Founded in 1994, NovaVision currently employs 60 full-time workers.

Each year NovaVision works with 5000 customers around the world bringing the global security spotlight to the Toledo Region and has been named seven times to Inc Magazine’s 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies. They primarily cater to governments, large international companies, retailers, and collectible companies, however, they recognize the importance of serving small business and provide products to over 1000 small businesses including banks, trucking and logistic companies, and ski resorts.

The four categories judged in 2016 DREAM BIG Awards were, strategic planning, employee development, customer service, and community involvement. Aside from serving a variety of business sizes, NovaVision is very active in the community. Mike Messmer, general manager of NovaVision said, “The NovaVision team is active in many community programs. I am proud of our many employees who support both local and international charities by generously giving their personal time and/or money.”

On winning the Blue Ribbon Award, Messmer expressed how honored he was to be recognized.
