Cargo Door Seals

All seals are suitable for use outdoors.

All of our cargo door seals offer a premium adhesive which can be applied in cold weather -- as low as +10°.

After application, the premium adhesive is rated for service temperatures as low as -40° and up to 200°.

Our large-size seals offer more security because they are more difficult to remove without tampering.

Our premium seals feature serial numbers which are embedded (or laminated), which are more durable for extended outdoor exposure (minimum 1 year life) and are not as susceptible to potential alterations.

Our premium seals also feature "v" security slits for added sensitivity to tampering.

Our premium seals include a perforation on the paper backer (between labels) for ease of use.

Our economy seals feature serial number which are surface printed. These are suitable for outdoor exposure of at least 90 days. The economy seals exclude the "v" security slits and are not perforated.

Custom imprinted seals offer more security.

As an option, we offer non-residue seals to eliminate the need for time-consuming clean up of the adhesive residue. Please call for more information.

A typical application is to apply the adhesive seal across the center gap of the two hinged doors (see Figure 1). In this application, the seal serves as the primary security seal, or as a secondary layer of protection to the shackle seal (typically a bolt seal, cable seal, barrier seal, etc).

Another application is to apply the adhesive seal over the gap on the hinged doors with one seal on each hinged door (see Figure 2). For high security applications, determined thieves will remove the set of hinged doors at the hinges without removing the security seals on the shackle or on the keeper bars. Applying a security seal from the door to frames protects the doors from removal.

Our premium seals include addtional "v" die cuts which promote tearing of the film, which is another measure of tamper evidence.

All stock seals feature a unique serial number in black ink. For the premium seals, the serial number is embedded under the film for added durablility and to combat alterations.

All of our Cargo Door Seals feature a premium outdoor adhesive, suitable for applying in cold weather.

For added security, our Cargo Door Security Labels can be custom manufactured with your company's text imprint or logo. The hidden tampering message can be customized too. Customizations include any language or copy to make the removal or manipulation of the seal easily understandable in any locale.

When affixing, the surface temperature must be a minimum +10°. After application,, the seal is suitable for outdoor temperatures ranging from -40° to +200°.

Clean the surface to remove dirt, grime, grease and contaminants before affixing. The surface must be dry.

Seals are hand-applied. Peel the label from the paper-backing and affix the film to the surface.

• Cargo Containers and Truck Trailers

For bare metal surfaces, you can use acetone, iso-propyl alcohol or other aggressive solvents. If the surface is painted, use iso-propyl alcohol or another mild solvent. Read the solvent label for safety procedures.

Intended use as a tamper evident label on the doors of trailers or containers. Also suitable for use on wooden crates, cardboard, or other containers.

All seals are constructed of durable polyester film (.002 inches thick) and with an outdoor-grade adhesive.
