Our custom barcode labels are available with no minimum order quantity. Discounts apply to orders of 50,000 labels or more, please call for pricing. Prices shown exclude shipping, customs and import fees.
We offer 3 stock sizes; custom sizes are available.
These barcode labels do not have any security features and they are NOT tamper evident.
Choosing a Barcode Label
All of our white polyester labels (standard or laminated) are suitable for indoor or outdoor applications.
The surface must be clean and dry. Apply when the surface is a minimum +10F. After the label is affixed, the adhesive is rated for temperatures as low as -40F and as high as +200F.
To Optimize Readability
A white background provides the best contrast to read the barcode.
For colored backgrounds, a consistent color is recommended. However some colors will reduce contrast and readability. Avoid printed graphics behind the barcode.
Allow a 'quiet zone' of empty space on both sides (to the left and right) of the vertical bars. Printed borders or graphics to the left and right can cause readability issues. If printing is located in the quiet zone, print a prototype and test for suitability before ordering.
If you require a specific readability grade (such as 'Grade A' readability), advise us of your requirement when you enter your order.
Laminated labels are recommended for equipment labels, machine asset tags, rental equipment, or any other long term application. The clear film lamination protects the bar code from wear and scuffing.
Regarding the width of the barcode relative to the label width
Using digits only will produce the most compact barcode.
For most symbologies, using an even number of digits decreases the bar code width (compared to an odd number of digits).
Using alphabetic characters (rather than digits) increases the barcode width.
The 128 symbology is the most compact barcode and can contain more information, which reduces the barcode width.
Typical Label Layouts
The following layouts are typical. Use these as a guide with your custom text. Or we can produce custom layouts too.
When ordering, specify one of the bar code symbologies noted below. The bar code symbology may change the label layout and size. Code 128 is the most dense (fits the smallest label) and can contain the most information.
