ISO-17712:2006 Certificate of Conformance for Bolt Seals

Re:  ISO-17712:2006 Certificate of Conformance for Bolt Seals

The Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) is a joint effort between the United States government and business involved in importing goods into the United States. CTPAT recognizes that border security will be more efficient and effective if Customs involves businesses in the process of securing and inspecting cargo. CTPAT provides freight carriers, brokers, manufacturers and importers guidelines to improve the security of their facilities, processes and products. One of those guidelines is to produce seals to meet the criteria detailed in the testing specification ISO/PAS 17712. Seals meeting these tests are categorized as 'High Security Seals'.

NovaVision has independent lab testing results on file to verify that these bolt seal products have passed the test protocol for ISO/PAS 17712 (2006) for High Security Seals:

Lab Test Report — November 4, 2008, Applicable Product Codes:

  • Stock: MS-B3Y, MS-B3B, MS-B3R
  • Custom: MS-B3 series

Lab Testing -- April 30, 2007, Applicable Product Codes:

  • Stock: MS-B2Y, MS-B2B, MS-B2R
  • Custom: MS-B2 series

Summary of Test Results:

  1. Bending Test (Clause 6.4): Complies
  2. Impact Test (Clause 6.5): Complies
  3. Shear Test (Clause 6.3): Complies
  4. Tensile Test (Clause 6.2): Complies

Also, all Bolt Seals we market are manufactured in production facilities which are CTPAT rated.
